Accessibility statement
This statement is about the website als-stats.net.
Standard
The website conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA. The exceptions we know of are listed below.
What we have done
- A “Skip to content” link at the start of every page leads past the navigation.
- Every page declares its language, has its own title, one main heading, and a heading for each section.
- The same navigation on every page; the current section is marked, and the footer links to the main pages.
- Links, the menu, the expandable sections and the spreadsheet examples work with the keyboard, and the focused element is visible.
- Text and background colors have a contrast of at least 4.5:1.
- Text can be enlarged, and the pages fit narrow phone screens without horizontal scrolling.
- Images have text alternatives, or are hidden from screen readers when they only decorate.
- Links that open a new tab say so to screen readers.
- The spreadsheet examples are tables with names: cells and sheet tabs are reached with the keyboard, and the note of a cell opens on focus as well as on hover.
- Smooth scrolling is turned off when the system asks to reduce motion.
The pages are checked with the axe-core accessibility checker against WCAG 2.0 A and AA, in Chrome at desktop and phone widths.
Known limitations
- The feedback form on the Support page is a Google form, and its content is provided by Google. You can write to us by e-mail instead.
- In the spreadsheet examples on narrow screens, a long formula scrolls inside the formula bar, and its end cannot be reached with the keyboard. On the function pages the same formula is also written above the example.
