The ciLevel parameter
What it does
Confidence level for intervals in tests/bootstraps: a number strictly between 0 and 1 (0.95, not 95). A number written as text ("0.9") is accepted.
Another value is an error: ciLevel must be between 0 and 1 (e.g. 0.95), got 95. Empty — the level from Settings.
Values
Optional; default 0.95.
Should be a number between 0 and 1
In plain words
A cafe owner found that her customers waited 20 minutes on average, and she asked for a range around it. Asking to be right 90 times in 100, she got 18 to 22 minutes. Asking for 95 times in 100, she got 17 to 23. Asking for 99 times in 100, she got 15 to 25. Now she sees that the more sure she wants to be, the wider the range gets, and she can pick the level herself. She writes it as 0.95, not as 95, or the formula shows an error. If she leaves it empty, the level from Settings is used.
Where you use it
STATS_BOOTSTRAP— Bootstrap confidence intervals for regression via resampling.STATS_PEARSON— Pearson correlation (r).STATS_SPEARMAN— Spearman rank correlation (rho): the correlation for rating scales, ranks and skewed data — does one go up as the other goes up?STATS_KENDALL— Kendall rank correlation (tau-b): the correlation of the order of two columns — for small samples and scales with many tied answers.STATS_PARTIAL— Partial correlation: the Pearson correlation of two variables with the controls held constant (SPSS PARTIAL CORR). Two variables give one correlation, three or more a matrix, as STATS_PEARSON.STATS_PAIRED— Paired-samples t-test for two related measurements (e.g., pre vs post).STATS_INDEPENDENT— Independent-samples t-test for two groups: the two selected columns are the groups.STATS_ANOVA— One-way ANOVA: each selected column is a group. Classic (Student) or Welch ANOVA, chosen by welch (auto by default), with homogeneity of variances and post-hoc comparisons.STATS_ONE_SAMPLE— One-sample t-test against mu0.STATS_CI— Calculates the confidence interval of the mean for filtered columns (Student's t).
