Minimum: what it means and how to read it
In the report: min — The smallest value.
How to read it
Together with max it shows the span of the answers and catches typos: a 99 on a 1–5 scale stands out here.
In plain words
A teacher gave her 30 students a quiz and graded each answer from 1 to 5. Before looking at averages she asked for min in every column. Four columns showed 1, which is fine. One column showed minus 3. Nobody can get minus 3 on this quiz, so the teacher found the typing mistake in row 12 and fixed it. Without min, that single wrong number would have dragged the average of the whole column down without anybody noticing.
